Original Architectural Details

Architects retained many of the original architectural details: 118-year-old floors, a mix of pinewood and pecan, that are scarred with the movement of spinning machines that once graced the facility. Metal ring travelers from the spinning machines can still be found embedded in the floor. Visitors can also find original structural beams, masonry, window openings and a clearstory. The 18x24 tall beams in the building are original forest heart-of-pine wood, dating back to the 1700s. Photo courtesy of Sunbrella®
