Fashion-Inspired Sunbrella® Fabrics Collection by Joe Ruggiero for High Point Highlights Soft, Sophisticated Colors

Leading home décor authority Joe Ruggiero celebrates the connection between interiors and fashion with new Sunbrella® fabric designs during Fall High Point Market. Paying homage to fashion as it inspires home décor, the collection features soft, sophisticated colors and new patterns reminiscent of those found on the runway.

“The fabrics in my newest Sunbrella collection utilize color in a way that I never have before,” said Ruggiero, whose new designs are available through Miles Talbott.

Visitors to the Miles Talbott showroom will discover Ruggiero’s Sunbrella fabrics in vignettes, reflecting today’s fashion trends in five color stories – CameoRaspberryMistDenim and Grey – and five fabric patterns – VisionsPebblesSensationChipper and Espadrille II.

Seen on the runway as nude or blush, Cameo has a soft, peachy glow reminiscent of the turn-of-the-century jewelry of the same name. Ruggiero interprets classic red, which has gone through so many different phases, as Raspberry, a muted tone ideal for interiors.

“Just a hint of mint,” is how Ruggiero describes Mist. This soft, coastal shade pairs well with other colors without being overwhelming. Denim, the color that never seems to go out of style, works nicely with Indigo, one of Ruggiero’s favorite timeless shades. A staple in fashion, Denim translates well in the home. Lastly, one of today’s most popular colors, Grey provides a serene, pleasing palette, especially when combined with Ivory.

Inspired by not only the colors of the runway, Ruggiero drew from patterns and textures in fashion for his Market designs. Visions is an interpretation of menswear, playing on a salt and pepper tweed, and is available in Grey. Existing pattern Pebbles, inspired by the texture of men’s suiting, is now available inIvory.

A tight, herringbone tweed, Sensation is a subtle pattern with an incredibly soft hand. Sure to be a hit this Market, Sensation is debuting in four colors:ParchmentCameoMist and Denim. Chippendale fretwork led to the creation of Chipper, which can be a stand-alone or a go-with pattern; available inCameoRaspberryMist and Denim. Ruggiero’s popular Espadrille II is a classic ticking stripe with the texture of espadrille canvas and is now offered inRaspberry.

“I’ve traveled the world and had the opportunity to see the evolution of and correlation between the runways and home décor,” Ruggiero said. “Fashion has always been a passion of mine and I’m excited to share how it can be translated to stylish, refined interiors.”
